What we do

The Teachers Division supports teachers qualified to teach mindfulness, yoga, and other contemplative practices in the law, as well as those organizations offering pathways into teaching for interested lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals.

Its members are also invited to participate in MILS conferences and other activities.

For questions, please contact Judi Cohen, the MILS Teachers Division Chair.

Code of Conduct

The MILS Teachers Division recognizes that the foundation of a mindful life in the law rests upon our mindful and caring relationship to ourselves and others.

In keeping with this understanding, all members of the MILS Teachers Division agree to uphold certain key principles articulated in the MILS Teachers Code of Ethics.

Find A Teacher

Although MILS does not certify its Teachers Division members, it does maintain a roster of its members. The roster provides important information about our Teachers Division members’ law practice experience, orientation toward mindfulness, and other qualifications.

We encourage you to engage with our Teachers Division members, assess their qualifications and request references.
