Ready for a retreat?
The Memphis Bar Association Wellness Committee is offering a retreat Oct. 25-28 at the Gray Bear Lodge in middle Tennessee, near Hohenwald, TN.
The Wellness Retreat offers ample relax time as well as continuing education on concepts from psychology, medicine, and eastern philosophy on wellness. Class time is focused on topics such as the neuroscience of stress and meditation, resilience, mindfulness and self-care. Afternoon free time can be spent in a hammock, getting a massage, in the wood-fired sauna or exploring the hills and trails, and the colors of the fall leaves. The retreat offers 10.25 hours dual credit CLE (approved in TN)/6.75 hours Continuing Medical Education credit pending in TN.
Facilitators Cindy Pensoneau, JD, Dr. Steven Bergquist, MD, Sharon Lusk, JD, CPA, have many thousands of hours of yoga and meditation practice and teaching experience. Optional daily hatha yoga practice will be led by sought-after instructor, Chris Coniaris. See www.graybear.org for more details of the facility. Space is limited to 20 participants.
